Tahlia Crenshaw, born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Richmond from the age seven, discovered her passion for cheer and dance at an early age.
She began her journey with a local team, where her natural talent and determination quickly shone through. Tahlia honed her skills at Moody Middle School and later at Henrico High School, becoming a member of both the cheerleading team and the Center for the Arts Dance program.
Her experiences as an athlete fostered her love for movement, mentorship, and creative expression, leading her to co-found Sparklz Cheer and Danz. With a gentle, creativity-driven coaching style, she empowers athletes to feel supported,, and proud of their growth.
Ashley Crenshaw Hockaday

Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Richmond from the age of five, Ashley Crenshaw Hockaday has been rooted in cheer and dance for as long as she can remember. She began her journey cheering for a local youth team, later expanding her skills through gymnastics at Moody Middle School.
Her passion continued to grow at Henrico High School, where she excelled in both sideline and competition cheerleading and was accepted into the school’s prestigious Center for the Arts program.
Ashley’s early experiences shaped not only her athletic ability but also her love for leadership, creativity, and youth development. Those foundations ultimately inspired her to build Sparklz Cheer and Danz — a place where athletes can grow, shine, and discover their confidence just as she did.
